Who Does the Design

The plan is put together by Vladimir, who trained as a civil engineer and has been building landscapes and hardscape since 2015. Grading, wall heights, and drainage routes are settled on the plan before the visual side is finalised, because those are what decide whether the finished work holds up in clay soil rather than shifting through the first few seasons.

What Happens After the Design

The plan is worked out to the point where it can be built from — measured layout, material selections, and grade and drainage decisions already resolved. From there it either goes into a build estimate or stays as a standalone plan. When the build follows, the same team that drew the plan carries it out, so nothing gets reinterpreted between the two stages.

— Design is quoted per project. What it comes to depends on the size of the property and how much of it the plan covers. When design is part of a full build, it is worked into the overall project estimate rather than billed separately.
— If I decide not to build with you, do I keep the plan?
— Yes. The plan is yours once it is delivered, and it is drawn to a level another crew can build from. That is the point of selling design as its own package — commissioning the design does not commit you to the installation.
— How long does the design phase take?
— About a month, depending on the scope of the property.
— Do you design a single feature, or the whole property?
— Either — a full property plan, or design work focused on one feature like a patio or retaining wall.
— Do you only design new, empty yards, or can an existing landscape be redesigned?
— Both — design work starts from either a blank yard or an existing landscape, including redesigns of what is already there.
— Do you work in neighborhoods with an HOA?
— Yes — we work in HOA-governed neighborhoods as well.
